John you missed my point. I think that a good quiver will help her
have fun. Who cares if she wins races? I have a modest quiver not
for racing, but so that I can better enjoy different conditions. Ice
is a reality in racing, and so that she may enjoy skiing in gates,
skis that have good/great grip on ice are key. Having a pair of free
skis will help keep her "race" skis (real race skis or regular skis)
fresh and in good shape for training and racing.
More important than the to quiver or not to quiver questions is
tuning. PS needs to learn (if he doesn't already know) the basics,
and it's good for him to do it with his daughter. There's nothing to
help one get psyched for skiing like tuning one's skis.
