    LAKE CHAMPLAIN MARINE FORECAST...CORRECTED

   National Weather Service Burlington VT
   248 PM EDT Mon Oct 14 2002

   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast.

   Tonight: North Wind at 5 to 15 knots early, diminishing to light.
   waves 1 to 2 feet early, then subsiding to nearly calm.
   Tuesday: Wind becoming south at 10 to 20 knots. Waves building to 1 to
   2 feet.
   Tuesday Night: South Wind at 5 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet.
   Wednesday: South Wind at 10 to 20 knots. Waves 1 to 3 feet. Rain
   likely by afternoon, reducing the visibility to 3 to 5 miles.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 94.60
   feet. The water temperature was 57 degrees. The ultraviolet index for
   Tuesday, October 15 is a 3. This is in the low category.
