Nope - don't think there are any to be had. The High Sierra pass at $1750
makes ASC's all area pass look real cheap. Unlike ASC's pass though the High
Sierra pass works at six areas in a relatively concentrated area, in this
case Lake Tahoe:

1) Kirkwood - described as the Alta of the Sierra
2) Heavenly - big and not that interesting though I haven't been into Mott's
Canyon yet
3) Sierra-at-Tahoe - pleasant diversion
4) Northstar - supposed to be good for the ego something like Bretton Woods
5) Alpine Meadows - some steep shots and much hike for terrain
6) Squaw Valley - up there with Red, Alta, and MRG as my favorite areas

Day rate at Squaw is a little over $50. Full season pass is around $1200 as
I recall with a midweek (with holiday restrictions :-( pass around $900.

When I called into to get a High Sierra pass, I was put on a waiting list
and was told that I probably wouldn't get on. The Squaw midweek pass looked
more and more interesting with a frequent skier card for weekends if I
wanted to fight the hordes.

Six weeks later I got a call telling me that not all the cards had been
claimed so I could get one.

Straight economics don't justify the card. At the least, I'm looking for 60
ski days this year. Nice thing though is that I will be able to go to other
areas other than Squaw without feeling guilty about actually having to *pay*
for a ticket. Wish the High Sierra pass included Homewood, Sugar Bowl, Mt.
Rose, and possible Diamond. Oh well.

I don't anticipate getting the High Sierra pass next year as there appears
to be better deals around which may explain why I was able to pick one up.
Nice for a one year fling if one can afford it before settling down on one
area.

Depending on what you like, checke out Alpine's passes at $900 for a full
pass or the midweek Squaw and use a frequent skier card for fighting the
hordes.
