    LAKE CHAMPLAIN MARINE FORECAST

   National Weather Service Burlington VT
   331 AM EDT Thu May 27 2004

   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast

   Today: Southwest winds 5 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet.
   Tonight: South Winds 10 to 20 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet.
   Friday: South Winds 10 to 20 knots, becoming west. Waves 1 to 3 feet.

   A chance of showers or thunderstorms late tonight through Friday.
   visibility around 3 miles in any precipitation. Wind and waves May be
   higher in the vicinity of any thunderstorms.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 97.54
   feet, and the water temperature was 47 degrees. The ultraviolet index
   for today is a 6. This is in the high category.
