a friend of mine was skiing "not on a trail", hit a tree and broke his leg
2 weeks ago

the guys he was skiing with dragged him out of the woods and onto the trail
and called ski patrol

patrol arrived and asked where the accident happened, and the guys said "it
happened right here"

there were drag marks coming out of the woods

I don't know what they put in their report, but they got him down and
shipped him off to the hospital

no fun to get hurt, but he will be ok
