pathetic excuses, and, where would one windsurf in SLC? on the Great Salt
Lake? Any why would anyone who was a REAL windsurfer (and skier) drive a 2
seater convertible sportscar anyway? ;-)

Anyhoo, I said to Miguel backchannel that I have access to floaty long
boards from our windsurf club...the gear I've been using all summer. I can
also grab the 6 meter sail if I want.

I also agree w/Mig...I'd rather be out on the lake on a low wind day
working on my skills, or just enjoying being out there with friends, than
being inside. In fact, I spent a lot of time this summer out there in low
wind. If the wind completely dies, then Bubba picks me up in the motorboat
and we go waterskiing.

On really windy days, the windsurfers do come out of the woodwork. There
are just a few of us whom you'll find out there on just a breezy day.

The marina where we keep our motorboat and catamaran is also the place
where the windsurf club has its shed and a decent beach to hang out with
friends, bring the dogs, swim, relax by the water, cooler of reeb. Like
Greek Peak isn't Snowbird, Cayuga Lake it isn't The CR Gorge, but it is
ours, and while it isn't a 'yacht club' it is our 'club' and we love it!!

In fact, I'm going out there today after work. No wind expected but it may
be one of the last nice waterski days...and afterall it is skiing!
