    LAKE CHAMPLAIN MARINE FORECAST

   National Weather Service Burlington VT
   400 AM EDT Sat May 31 2003

   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast.

   Today: Variable wind 5 to 10 knots becoming north around 10 knots
   late. Waves 1 foot or less. Showers likely this afternoon.
   Tonight: North Wind increasing to 10 to 20 knots after midnight. waves
   building to 3 feet. Occasional rain with visibilities 3 to 5 miles at
   times.
   Sunday: North Wind 20 to 30 knots. Waves 3 to 4 feet. Occasional rain
   with visibilities 3 to 5 miles at times.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 97.74
   feet. The water temperature was 56 degrees.
