Eastern Sierra!
Great combo of lift-served at Mammoth, and earned-turns just about
everywhere nearby.  Weather is far more reliable than PNW, and snowpack
that time of year is just as good as PNW.  (Even just two to three visits
there each year turns one into a wx wuss.)
