    LAKE CHAMPLAIN MARINE FORECAST

   National Weather Service Burlington VT
   250 PM EDT Sat May 31 2003

   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast.

   Tonight: North Wind increasing to 10 to 20 knots after midnight. waves
   building to 1 to 3 feet. Occasional rain, lowering visibility to 3 to
   5 miles at times.
   Sunday: North Wind 15 to 25 knots. Waves 2 to 4 feet. Rain likely,
   lowering visibility to 3 to 5 miles at times.
   Sunday Night: North Wind 15 to 25 knots early, becoming west and
   decreasing to 5 to 15 knots after midnight. Waves 2 to 4 feet,
   subsiding to around 1 foot. A chance of showers. Visibility lowering
   to 5 miles in any rain.
   Monday: West Wind 10 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet. A chance of
   showers. Visibility lowering to 5 miles in any rain.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 97.70
   feet. The water temperature was 55 degrees.

   The ultraviolet index for Sunday, June 1St, is a 4. This is in the low
   category.
