Oh I'm not done yet. Not by a long shot. Just interesting seasonal
pattern of bringing snow, occasionally substantial, but never sticking
around for more than a week before the next thaw. However, we did have a
solid two weekends in a row without a thaw and substantial snowfall, so
that was good.
All indications point to winter returning after early next week. ETA/NAM
is way far south with the GFS' large rainstorm on Tuesday...and would
actually bring snowfall instead. It'll be watched as the trend
southeastward is interesting but I'm still forecasting precipitation in
the form of rain Sun-Wed next week. After that, a weak Polar Vortex is
forecasted to form over eastern Canada and will bring temps back to
consistently below freezing by the end of next week through next weekend.
A few snow chances in the cards, too. Still, not seeing a "big" one in
terms of a nor'easter (upslope is great, but a large nor'easter is more
exciting in my mind from a weather standpoint)...second half of March
could be our best chance for one in the north as far as climatology and
set-up goes.
Never losing hope...
