        Just the opposite;  dry weather = earlier accelerated fall foliage.  I was
surprised at how much colour I saw in the Adirondacks over Labor Day
weekend.

        We had La Nina last weather and look what happened to us;  on the bright
side, look what happened in the PNW and Western Canada.  La Nina is still
alive and well though and is forecasted to maintain it's punch well into
2000;  Seattle had it's coldest Summer in 50 years and Calgary had their
chilliest Summer of the century.
