     I'm glad to see I'm not the only fanatic looking for
     signs of winter. Down here in the banana belt, the
     drought has caused the weak trees to start turning. On
     the road up to my house in the local mountains, there
     is a sugar maple turning orange, but it's clearly due
     only to the stress. There has been nothing even
     remotely resembling a bit of a chill. Still, one can
     pretend...
