wondering if anybody's got any good places to stay in or around alta,
snowbird, or solitude.

i'm eyeing solitude- seems a bit unknown, but hear everything about it
makes it as good, or better than, alta and snowbird (crowds and price
mainly)

looking for a place to stay around there next year, and want to book early
for a deal, in a few months probably.

is my bet to stay in SLC? or, can i get something decent up in the
mountains for a fair price? doesn't need to be slopeside by any means,
and i can take it rustic, as long as its not fleabag. i like staying up
in the mountains for the feel of it, convenience is secondary, but still
nice.

is it really worth staying in SLC and driving an hour (and risking not
getting up there during a storm)? i'd like to ski the said areas above,
mostly alta and solitude, then snowbird. any recs?

i'm figuring you can ski from solitude to alta/snowbird, but it would
require some knowledge of the backcountry-a guide, or going with a local.
anyone know of any interconnect deals or something along those lines?

thanks in advance
