I am currently in Colorado, en route moving back to Vermont from
Switzerland. I was attending a conference here last week
(http://gecco-2016.sigevo.org/ for those that are curious), and then
decided to stick around for a few days before flying East.
One of the benefits of being in the middle of moving is that I had one
of snowboard bags with me. So, on Monday, Liz brought me up to St.
Mary's Glacier and we earned some July turns. Not the greatest snow
ever, but not too bad for a scorcher of a day in July! A short hike in
from the trail head, and then a few hundred vertical feet up the
"glacier". Lots of people around; a few others making turns as well.
Doubt I will be making any turns in August or September, but let's hope
there's some white stuff in the Greens in October!
-Josh
P.S. Belated happy hump day!
