    LAKE CHAMPLAIN MARINE FORECAST

   National Weather Service Burlington VT
   405 AM EDT Fri May 28 2004

   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast

   Today: South Winds 5 to 15 knots, becoming northwest at 10 to 20 knots
   this afternoon. Waves 1 to 3 feet. A chance of showers and
   thunderstorms. Visibility 3 to 5 miles in any rain. Wind and waves May
   be higher in the vicinity of any thunderstorms.
   Tonight: Northwest winds 10 to 20 knots. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
   Saturday: Northwest winds 15 to 25 knots. Waves 1 to 3 feet.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 97.70
   feet, and the water temperature was 48 degrees. The ultraviolet index
   for today is a 4. This is in the moderate category.
