    RECREATIONAL FORECAST

   National Weather Service Burlington VT
   352 AM EDT Fri Sep 2 2005

   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast 

   Today: Southwest winds 10 to 20 knots, with some gusts to 25 knots..
   Waves 1 to 2 feet. A slight chance of a shower, with visibility
   unrestricted. 
   Tonight: West Wind 5 to 15 knots. Waves 1 foot. 
   Saturday: West To northwest winds 10 to 20 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet. A
   chance of afternoon showers, with visibility unrestricted.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock is 95.70
   feet, and the water temperature is 70 degrees.

   The higher summits forecast for Vermont and Northern New York:

   Today: Partly sunny with a slight chance of a shower. Highs in the
   around 70. Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph. 
   Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of afternoon showers. Highs in
   the mid 60S. Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph.
