    RECREATIONAL FORECAST

   National Weather Service Burlington VT
   401 AM EDT Tue Sep 6 2005

   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast 

   Today: South Winds 5 to 10 knots. Waves less than 1 foot. 
   Tonight: South Winds 5 to 10 knots. Waves less than 1 foot. 
   Wednesday: South To southwest winds 10 knots. Waves 1 foot.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 95.75
   feet, and the water temperature was 68 degrees.

   The higher summits forecast for Vermont and Northern New York:

   Today: Sunny. Highs in the upper 50S to lower 60S. West Winds 5 to 15
   mph. 
   Wednesday: A few clouds around the summits. Highs in the lower 60S.
   Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph.
