It's Chris Thomas King playing "hard time killing floor blues" - which
was originally recorded by Skip James in 1931. King appeared in "O'
brother where art thou" as "Tommy Johnson," who had sold his soul to
the devil in exchange for the ability to "play this here guitar real
good." He plays a segment of this song in the movie, which may be
where you recognize it from.
