Hiked at Wachusett at lunch today. A couple observations:

We had a fairly good winter in Central MA up until March 1. I hiked up the
Pine Hill trail and was shocked at the amount of crap on that trail that was
easily skied over this winter. It could still use a pruning though.

They are charging $ 2.00 to drive to the top of the mountain. That explains
the dearth of cars on the road. I like it.

There is no charge to bike up the road.

Saw one lonely 4x4 patch of snow next to the road where it crosses 10th
Mountain. Another strip of snow remains where the half-pipe was.
