NORTHEAST OFF-PISTE:
Backcountry Skiing & Snowboarding Adventures in the Northeast

Ski Rack and UVM Outing Club present Vermont author David Goodman at 7
p.m. tonight, March 8, at the Billings Theater, UVM, for an exciting
slide show about the best backcountry skiing and snowboarding in the
northeast, from Mount Mansfield, to the Adirondacks, to Mount Katahdin.
Copies of both of Goodman's books, including the new "Backcountry Skiing
Adventures: Classic Ski and Snowboard Tours in Vermont and New York,"
and his guide to Maine and New Hampshire, will be available. Goodman's
guidebooks have been dubbed "the eastern backcountry bible" by Back
Country and Powder magazines. Tickets at the door: $5/$4 with student
ID. For more info, 658-3313.
