Greetings PIs and Research Administrators,
After 10-years of stable IRB fees, the Office of the Vice President for Research, in cooperation with the LCOM Dean's Office and the UVM Medical Center Administration, has determined that a fee increase is necessary to help offset the rising operating and administrative costs associated with activities of the University of Vermont's Institutional Review Boards.
* See the attached notice for the new IRB fees, effective July 1, 2019.
Proposal Budgeting
Effective immediately, please begin using the new IRB fees when budgeting or pricing a new investigator initiated clinical trial and include in all proposals that involves human subjects research, where the following is true:
* funding is not from a federal source.
* funding is not from the State of Vermont.
* less than full F&A is being paid.
* not prohibited by the sponsor.
Questions:
Questions about the IRB fees should be directed to [log in to unmask], RPO Director.
Budgeting questions can be directed to your assigned SPA RA<https://www.uvm.edu/spa/departmental-assignments>.
