Hi Tom,

I am very happy to try to help you get a program going there. HWS will have a regional fall tournament. We are right now trying to select a date (either 9/14 - 9/15 or 10/26 - 10/27). I've attached the latest calendar, but you should ignore the date listed for the HWS tournament on that. Two things you should do to get more information are to sign up for the listserv "USA Debating in the WUDC Format" <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>>, and also the quite new http://bpforum.yaledebate.org.

I used to coach at the high school level and the transition to college took a bit of time, but I find it quite rewarding.

All the Best,
Eric

Hi Eric:
Sam Nelson gave me your name. He said that you are running a debate program at Hobart. I am trying to get a team started at Oswego. I am trying to get a sense of the tournament schedule for upstate New York for next year so that I can submit a request for funding. Do you have a tentative schedule as yet? I have many years of debate coaching at the high school level, but getting started on the college level is a new adventure for me. Any information that you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
