I highly recommend shelling out the bucks neccessary to buy Wes Todd's cardiovascular sciece review book. For anybody that has limited hospital experience (i.e. limited direct patient care training) and/or limited academic science exposure there will be some huge gaps in your ability to handle this test. Since the origin of CCI was cardiovascular technology instead of general ultrasound imaging you will likly see a lot of hemodyamics as well. Physics will mostly be within the specialty exam.
CCI is much friendlier than ARDMS, but there are still qualification requirements that must be met. Your staff member should check on that.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had a good study guide for the CCI Cardiovascular course. I have staff who do not have a medical background nor fit the ARDMS criteria and want to sit for this exam. There is quite a bit of ‘science’ on metabolism, pre-assessment and even surgery. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
