Use a tilt table. You can stand them, the table can raise so you are not hunched over or reaching when getting down in the lower calf. Worth the money, for patient safety and tech safety. How many technologists have had patients almost faint or completely go down when scanning patients standing on a step? We had several. Tilt table is MUCH safer.

I actually purchased the 2 step stair plat form. I very rarely used it. It sits in the corner and collects dust. I found that although it was very stable the patients couldn't help but move which is very frustrating. Plus it's actually quite large so space is definitely a problem. If I absolutely have to I will have my patients put a foot up on a single step stool that I bought at Wal-mart. Works better and storage is not an issue. My best advice- find reflux without having to stand your patients. It's hard on you and the patient!

Subject: venous reflux exam platform

Good afternoon! I looking for a platform for our lab to stand patients on while performing reflux exams. Does anybody have any suggestions on where to find one??

Thanks,
