Hey folks:
Well the snow is flying, folks are already hiking for their turns
and we're more jazzed than ever for the promise of skiing & riding the deep
powder of Idaho's Sawtooth Range during Spring Break! For those of you who
haven't had a chance to see the slides and hear the details in person, here
is another opportunity next Monday before Club Council:
What: Info & Slideshow on Backcountry Skiing in the Sawtooths of Idaho
When: Monday November 11th, 2002 @ 6pm
Where: MLK Lounge Billings
please see other details below. we're starting to fill this trip and would
love to have all you adventurous folks involved! feel free to contact me to
arrange a meeting for details if you're unable to attend...
>Hey There Powder Hounds!
> So far we have a few downpayments but will need at least five more
>to extend the rock bottom price of $490 per person for the week. I've been
>quoted airfares to Boise for as little as $300 recently. For a $100 per
>day we have the opportunity for the backcountry trip of a lifetime.
>Granted this is a lot of money for students but remains a great value...
> So here's the deal: we encourage you to start spreading the word to
>friends and folks in your hall or make announcements to students in your
>classes! Our goal is to go with a full group of eight to keep the price
>minimal. If we can get our group gathered in the fall, we'll have plenty
>of time to ski together and train before Spring break.
> Be thinking about learning to read and avoid avalanche danger, be
>thinking about the purity of hiking for your turns, be thinking about
>bluebird Sun Valley skies, be thinking about rooster tailing the deep
>fluffy pow and most importantly...be thinking about dropping a still
>refundable $100 check by my office or at the Outing Club to hold your
>space on a trip that will undoubtedly make OC history! The Spring break
>sea kayaking trip filled the day after their info session, let's prove the
>passion and commitment for skiing and riding is just as strong!
>
>we'll keep you updated!
