Important Information Regarding Workplace Injuries and Illnesses

In compliance with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA), the UVM Department of Risk Management & Safety
maintains records of all injuries and illnesses that are reported as
related to work. The University is required to summarize the total
numbers of reportable incidents and the number of lost work days and
restricted work days. These incidents are categorized as injuries
(those resulting from a specific incident) and other illnesses (such as
those resulting from hazardous exposures). Injuries and illness are
recorded as cases involving fatalities, lost work days, or restricted
work days. The attached summary totals reflect those incidents reported
throughout the calendar year 2015.

Please contact Sarah Burnett, Claims Specialist, at 6-0738 if you have
questions about this report.
