UVM Students,
Currently the Student Government Association is conducting a search for the
2004/2005 SGA Treasurer. We currently are building our pool of eligible
candidates; if you are currently enrolled as a fulltime student and will
continue as a fully enrolled student through the 2005 spring semester, and you
are an undergraduate student paying your Student Activities Fee (or a graduate
student paying the fee) then you may apply for the position.
The applications are now available in the SGA office and are due back by noon
on Wednesday, April 14th. If you have any questions please contact Bryant

SGA Treasurer is a member of the SGA Executive Board and oversees operations of
about 1.5 mil dollars for 100+ organizations. Everyday duties include: using
university's Financial Record System to process purchase orders and to track
income and expenses for the SGA Office and recognized clubs, trains club
Treasurers and Presidents on financial affairs, provides advice to SGA clubs in
financial matters, decides on granting loans to clubs, decides on re-allocation
of club's funds, represents the student body at BOT and possibly other
committee meetings, etc. It is expected that the Treasurer will spend about 20
hours in the office and at the meetings and is rewarded a stipend for the
services provided.
