In response to this week's tragic events, President Bush has proclaimed
Friday, September 14th a National Day of Prayer and Remembrance.  Ira Allen
Chapel will be open from 12 Noon to 1 p.m. for silent meditation and
reflection.  The University bells will toll at that time.  Other student
led memorials may occur on the University Green during the day.
As previously announced, the University is sponsoring a campus-wide
teach-in on "International Terrorism" from 3:30-5:00 p.m. on Friday
afternoon in Ira Allen Chapel.
University employees are free to attend noon services at their places of
worship.
