5. Red Bull Contest ----------------------------
RED BULL ART OF THE CAN CONTEST: Registration closes Dec. 2
Red Bull is currently holding an enormous competition open to anyone and
everyone interested. It does not matter if you are a modern day Michaelangelo
or not, Red Bull is interested in creativity using the product. Here's how it
works: Essentially, each competitor will use empty Red Bull cans to make an
original work of art. Creativity is the key here.
How are the pieces judged?
1. Creative Concept - Overall idea behind the piece
2. Conceptual execution - How well did the piece translate the concept
3. Construction - How well the piece is made, special effort
WHAT CAN YOU WIN?
First Prize: A trip for two to La Biennale in Venice, Italy. This trip to
the 51st International Arts Exhibition is entirely first class, and well
worth the effort.
Selected entries will be displayed in a special two week exhibition at the
Artists for Humanity EpiCenter in South Boston on February 26-March 13,
2005. This is a great opportunity to get yourself and the University of Vermont
on the art world map. Winners will be announced after Jan1, 2005.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
