On behalf of the Provost and Senior Vice President Search Committee, we 
are pleased to inform the UVM Community that we have advanced two 
finalists for campus interviews. The finalists are:*

    *Dr. Jane Knodell*
    Professor of Economics
    Interim Provost and Senior Vice President

    *Dr. Eleanor Miller*
    Professor of Sociology
    Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences

Each candidate will participate in a day long interview process 
involving various representatives of the University community.Their 
specific schedules and candidate information is available at the Provost

site.The Search Committee is also hosting an Open Forum for both 
candidates as follows:

    Monday, November 8, 2010
    4:00 -- 5:30 p.m.

    *Dr. Eleanor Miller*
    Wednesday, November 10, 2010
    4:00 -- 5:30 p.m.

The Forums will take place at the _Admissions Visitor Center located at 
184 South Prospect Street_.Each candidate will briefly address the 
following topic - *Opportunities and Challenges Facing UVM* - followed 
by a question and answer period.We encourage all members of the 
community to attend the Open Forums if possible and participate in this 
important process.
