1. Busses to Ski Areas ----------------------------
Due to the overwhelming response from our members, The Ski and
Snowboard Club has extended their bus dates. Buses will run for the 2 weekends
before winter break. The dates are below.

Dec 4- Sugarbush

Dec 5- Stowe

Dec 11- Stowe

Dec 12- Sugarbush

The bus LEAVES from in front of Patrick Gym at 8am, so be there
before!! The bus will leave the mountain at 4pm, location will be determined by
the driver, and they'll let you know. The Buses are FREE for all students.

2. Class Penny Wars----------------------------
The Senior Class Council is putting on Penny Wars between the
classes starting THIS FRIDAY until the last day of class, December 8.

Don't know how it works? It's simple: bring your pennies in and put them in
your class jar (pennies are positive points) and don't forget to throw your
change into the other classes' jars (silver change is negative)!

All of the change collected will go to Vermont Cares, an HIV and AIDS
advocacy program for Burlington and the entire state.

But wait- there's more! When you donate your change, you can get free
condoms and candy that the SCC will be handing out right there! AIDS
prevention doesn't end on World Aids Day, and we want everyone to have a
healthy and safe holiday season!

So grab that change from under your couch and check out the Senior Class
Council at tables at Cook Commons and outside the library during lunch
Friday through Wednesday!

3. UVMtv will air on-campus ----------------------------

UVMtv is a student-run television station controlling channels 2, 12, & 13 on
your on-campus cable feed. It plays a new set of student-requested, unedited
brand new movies as well as student films every two weeks around the clock
(channels 2 & 13). In addition, it provides the community with advertising for
current student events & fine businesses; a comical segment entitled “Featured
Student of the Week”; and a new interactive game called “Love Line” which will
be coming soon (channel 12).

We’re letting you know of these channels because at the beginning of the year,
unfortunately, UVMtv was NOT up and running. As a result, the
“auto-programming” of your television sets did not integrate these marvelous
channels. Please be aware, if you wish to add them, you may do so by accessing
the “menu / channel setup” on your tv … or you may simply switch to them
manually by using your tv remote control. Once again, please be sure to tune
into channels 2, 12, & 13 for excellent new movies, information about cool
events, and fun “of the week” candid shots and specials. Lastly, UVMtv offers
advertising. If you’re a member of a club or coming event, and would like it
advertised on campus television, please see our Advertising Pricing Guide
below, and email [log in to unmask] if you have any inquiries.

Thank you so much for your time. Happy watching, and feel free to email UVMtv
with any suggestions, comments, ideas, and/or submissions. Have a great day and
easy transition back into classes!

4. World AIDS Day ----------------------------
This Wednesday, December 1st, is World AIDS Day. This is a time to raise
awareness about HIV/AIDS, to improve care for those infected by HIV, and to
fight denial and discrimination. It is a time to show solidarity with the
people who live with HIV/AIDS and to remember the millions who have already
died. Please join us in the following activities and events commemorating this
year's World AIDS Day.

FREE oral HIV testing: Wednesday 11 am - 1pm, basement of Billings by the Round
Room. VT CARES will be providing free & anonymous HIV testing in a confidential
space in the basement of Billings by the Round Room. This will be testing for
antibodies in saliva, so don't worry if you are scared of needles!

Distribution of red ribbons, condoms, stickers, and information on HIV/AIDS all
week: Nov 29th - Dec 3rd. Different locations on campus will be distributing
all of these items during the week. Also, on Dec 1st there will be a table
outside Cook Commons and volunteers walking throughout campus will hand these
items to passersby.

"Angels in America" film showing: Wednesday 5-10 pm at Kalkin 003. This HBO
film of Tony Kushner's award-winning play, starring Al Pacino, Meryl Streep,
and Emma Thompson, will be shown at Kalkin 003 (behind Votey and the Fleming
Museum). Please feel free to come in and out of the movie, as it is 4+ hrs
long! Refreshments will be provided.

In honor of WORLD AIDS DAY on Dec. 1st the HIV/AIDS task force will be
displaying a piece of the AIDS QUILT in Billings Great Hall on Nov. 30th and
Dec. 2 and 3rd. Also, Peter Kurth, a writer from Burlington's Seven Days will
be speaking in honor of WORLD AIDS DAY on Dec. 2 at 7:30pm at Billings Great
