Consistent with recommendations from the Vermont Emergency Management
Office and the National Weather Service to avoid all unnecessary travel,
the University of Vermont has been officially closed for the day. Heavy
snow is expected to continue throughout the day, making driving conditions
increasingly hazardous.

Employees who provide services to residential students, public safety,
snow removal and other critical functions should contact their supervisors
for instructions.

The university will resume normal operations Wednesday morning.
