Redstone Lofts Independent Student Apartments* *

_*Description of Work:*_

UVM and Redstone Development are very excited to announce the start of 
construction for the Redstone Lofts independent student apartments 
project. Redstone Lofts will provide 403 beds within 144 units in a mix 
of studio, one, two, three, and four bedroom apartments that will be 
available for UVM juniors, seniors, and graduate students. Redstone 
Lofts is scheduled to open in Fall 2012.

Redstone Lofts will be owned by Catamount Student Housing, LLC and 
operated by Redstone Commercial Group under a long-term ground lease 
with UVM. It will provide another housing option, brand new loft-style 
apartments, for students who are eligible to move off-campus, but choose 
the convenience of staying on-campus in independent apartments. Redstone 
Lofts will be ready for occupancy in Fall 2012.

_*Construction Dates and Hours:*_

Construction will begin on April 16, 2011. The project is scheduled to 
be complete in August 2012.

Typical construction hours will be 7:00 am-6:00 pm Monday through Friday 
with weekend work occurring as necessary. Outside noise generating 
activities will not start before 8:00 am.

Davis Road from the intersection of University Heights Road to the PFG 
Complex will be closed during construction. During the week of April 
25th, 2011, construction in University Heights Road will affect traffic. 
One lane of traffic will be kept open during this time.

_*Blasting:*_

Blasting will be required as part of this project. During blasting 
activities, individuals on Redstone and Athletic Campuses may feel 
vibrations and hear noise. UVM does require blasting contractors to 
limit blast levels to a threshold below industry and federal standards 
to limit noise and vibration impacts and any potential damage. Blasting 
hours will be limited to 8:00 am -- 6:00 pm Monday through Friday.

_*Exam Week:*_

Because this project is on a tight construction schedule in order to 
open for Fall 2012, Redstone will not be able to stop construction 
activities during the May 6-13, 2011 exam week. Blasting will be limited 
to not start before 9:00 am during exam week.
