Yale Nips Vermont in ECAC Women’s Hockey
Final Score: Yale 1, Vermont 0
New Haven, Conn. – Suzanne McGoey scored the lone goal of the game to lift Yale
past visiting Vermont, 1-0, in an ECAC women’s hockey contest.
McGoey scored on assists from Natalie Babony and Lisa Jacque at 10:55 of the
first period and the Bulldogs held on the rest of the way for the victory.
Vermont goaltender Tiffany Hayes (New Milford, Conn.) made 41 saves for the
Catamounts, while Sarah Love posted 14 stops in earn the shutout victory for
Yale (9-17-2, 5-10-0).
Vermont (3-24-2, 0-14-1) wraps up the 2003 season at Princeton on Sunday at
2:00pm.
