Dear VT birders,
On Sunday I saw two black-billed cuckoos flying from tree to tree together in Hartland. At least one was calling. Do females call? I had just watched two robins copulating and hoped to see "copulating cuckoos", just because I like the phrase. But no luck on that. Is there really a cuckoo invasion in Vermont? I hear and see them every summer here, though never before two together.
        Happy birding,
                                    Jean Harrison
