Whip-poor-wills were calling last night in the usual spot in Brandon, the junction of Long and Short Swamp Rds.   Snipe and barred owl were heard but for the first time no woodcock. We have to wonder if the new powerlines have disrupted them. The noise from them is quite loud and the wires are over the field where they did the display.
