Early November is the usual time that Ruddy Ducks put in an appearance at Colchester Pond. This afternoon I spotted a single Ruddy Duck swimming in mid-pond from the vantage point of the access road. Hopefully, this week there will be more. In addition, I saw the usual Canada Geese (44), Hooded Mergansers (18), Common Mergansers (3), Great Blue Heron (1), and European Starlings (147).
