I had my first indigo bunting at my nijer feeder this afternoon. I have never seen one here since moving 5 years ago. Also my family of blue birds is doing very well in spite of all the rain.

Two days ago I had a terrorist bird (house sparrow) peck a hole in the sole tree swallow egg in the nest box close to my house and throw it on the ground. He then began attacking the female swallow in her box. He's not bothering them any more and there are now two eggs in the box.
