BLACKBIRDS singing on territory in the swamp at Brilyea.  A ROBIN was
singing on territory at the first right hand turnoff on rte 17 at DCR. 
Way early for him!  My yearly March ritual is to go over every day or so
after the first week of March so I can declare my private beginning of
spring at the first blackbirds.   Nancy Perlee
