What a great day for migrant birdwatching! Interesting birds in
Brookline today were:

Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Swainson's Thrush -2
Green Heron ( first one I have seen in my neighborhood)
Swamp Sparrow (also first one I have seen here)
White crowned Sparrow - 4
White throated Sparrow - 3
Northern Flicker - 4
Belted Kingfisher
Orange crowned Warbler
Junco (first one I have seen this fall)
Common Merganzer - 2
Purple Finch - 8

...and a large flock of hungry Robins (20+) feeding together with a
large flock of Cedar Waxwings (30+) at sundown. Drama, drama!
