I was so focused on the weird Button Bay goose yesterday that I
forgot to mention a nice mix of ducks in the flooded fields on
Hawkins Road (from Little Chicago Road toward Kingland Bay): wood
ducks, with several resplendent males; green-winged teal; mallards;
several gadwalls; and one lone wigeon. (I was miles away before it
dawned on me to look closely at this duck. I'm assuming it was an
American Wigeon.)
