Checked this morning on how the nesting pair of Common Loon were surviving the rise in water level.  

One adult was on the nest and there seems to be at least 6 inches of freeboard, if that is the correct term!  The siting of the nest would also seem to be beneficial as far as the potential for destructive wave action is concerned.
