Yesterday morning I counted twelve Golden-winged Warblers and two
Blue-Winged Warblers in rapidly growing in old pasture land on the east
side of Snake Mountain Road in Cornwall. One busily interactive cluster
had six birds -- two Blue-wings (males) and four Golden-wings (two males
and two females). I did not note any obvious hybrids among the 14
individuals; however there were two or three birds with pure
Golden-winged songs that I did not see well.
Other warblers were Yellowthroats, a Redstart, an Ovenbird and a
Bay-breasted (likely the same bird seen the last couple of days).
