Hi Allan,
Thank you so much for the opportunity to observe these little guys. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen so many Redpolls in one spot! They practically covered the one feeder that they seemed to favor, like ants on a summer watermelon. And now, with your help in making the ID, combined with the many “possible/probable” Hoaries I’ve seen in the past ten years, I think I can finally check the box next to Hoary Redpoll on my life list. That is indeed something to be thankful for.
