A few folks have asked me how to find the eBird images that they added the
old way using FLickr and HTML in species comments so that they can upload
them directly to eBird now and have them curated in eBird and used by the
tools. Here's how to find all those and then replace them:
1. Go to My eBird and on the right side go to Download My Data and download
it. eBird will send you an email with a link to get a zip file of all your
data.
2. Unzip the file. It is a comma delimited file so open it in excel or the
like. Search for “a href” to see image tags, or for “flickr.com” to find
all specific Flickr images you have. For sound you can search for
soundcloud or xeno-canto, if you imbedded sound.
3 Then, go to those checklists using the checklist in My eBird - Manage My
Checklists. And you can edit the checklist and upload the images or sounds
directly to them.
If anyone needs further help, just let me know.
Thanks
Kent
