Purple Finch quietly singing in the lilac;  Tufted Titmouse checking out one of the bluebird boxes;  male Cardinal all around the garden;   pair of Common Nuthatches chasing in the maples;   a Brown Creeper;   Canadas heard but not seen overhead;  Barred Owls calling all afternoon in the woods.  Chipmunks reappeared from under the house;  also had a bat flying over the house.
