An adult kingbird took exception to my walking by. It flew at me and I found the reason--- a nest with hatchlings. Further down the road a duet of hermit thrush graced the woods.
Two fledged mourning doves have been hiding under shrubbery here in my yard. They are quite lovely in their immature plumage.
