This afternoon I counted 48 Common Terns loafing at the mouth of the Winooski River/Delta Park. The terns were perched on woody debris at the mouth of the river and were visible from the bridge. Two Bonaparte Gulls were in the mix. I saw only one Caspian Tern in flight. Also, I saw 2 Greater Yellowlegs on the beach as well as a Solitary Sandpiper.
