We've been seeing a male cardinal with darken (perhaps crusty) areas around
the eyes. This is not something we've notice in lifetime viewing of Mr.
Cardinal. 

We are wondering if the cardinal can have the house finch conjunctivitis. 
This looks somewhat like the photos of that disease found on Cornell labs site.

Your thoughts welcome. Will try to send photos if he sits near before dusk.
