Some nice birds at Dead Creek WMA and environs
today along with the snow geese.

Along Rte 17 and the Brilyea road we saw 4 great
blue herons; 1 great egret; 9 turkey vultures
that looked like they were in a hurry to get out
of town; 1 female northern harrier; 1 American
kestrel; and 2 red-tailed hawk.

Along Nortontown Rd. in Addison: 1 American
kestrel; 2 great blue herons; and 1 peregrine
falcon that swooped in front of us at the
intersection of Nortontown and Jersey St. - a
great look.

McCuen Slang: 3 pied-billed grebes; 2 wood duck;
2 mallard; 2 great blue heron; and 1 female
belted kingfisher.

And finally along Rte 125 in Ripton, 10 wild
turkeys.

Here at home this morning we had about 10
dark-eyed juncos and 1 white-throated sparrow.
